Apertura del local social tots els dimarts i divendres de 19:00 a 21:00 hores amb projeccions de vídeos, biblioteca, taller de modelisme i circulació de trens a les maquetes d’HO i N.

Jordiada

Nascuda com una festa per difondre la cultura popular i tradicional catalana, la Jordiada és avui una programació molt més àmplia que, al llarg de diversos dies, ens acosta a la música, a les activitats literàries i infantils, etc. Culmina, com és tradicional, a la Festa de Can Mercader, on les entitats de la ciutat expliquen la seva activitat i hi ha actuacions durant tot el dia, parades de roses i de llibres de la XBC, llibreries, autors i autores locals i un dinar popular.

Festa del Trenet

El tercer diumenge de cada octubre celebrem La Festa del Trenet i La Trobada de Vaporosos on afeccionats catalans, espanyols i europeus venen a Can Mercader a fer circular les seves reproduccions durant tot el dia. Al migdia es fa un dinar de germanor on se sortegen diversos obsequis donats per diferents comerços de Cornellà i el Baix Llobregat.

 

Pare Noel a Can Mercader

El diumenge abans de la nit de Nadal ens visita el Pare Noel que reparteix caramels i xocolatines per els més petits que visiten el nostre Trenet.

 

ALTRES ACTIVITATS

A més de les activitats puntuals que es desenvolupen en el local social entre setmana i els festius al Parc de Can Mercader, El Club d’Amics del Ferrocarril-Cornellà organitza excursions amb trens històrics tant a Espanya com a l’estranger. També organitza visites tècniques a xarxes ferroviàries i empreses del sector. Col.labora amb les Institucions per a la recerca de material històric per a la seva preservació.
Participa en les activitats programades per altres entitats afins i molt especialment les de la Federació Catalana d’Amics del Ferrocarril, de la que n’és membre-fundador, i les de la Unió Europea d’Amics del Ferrocarril (MOROP).
